I Found a Brooklyn Shoebox to Call Home!

January 22, 2017

 Ahh, Happy New Year!

There's nothing like finding your dream apartment to kick off 2017. Yes, my boyfriend and I have found the most perfect place to cozy up in for the next year - maybe more!

After months of searching and days of collecting paperwork, we found something that seems too good to be true. Side note, apartment hunting in NYC might as well be a full time job. Decent sized apartments are snatched up like hot cakes so when you find a true gem, you have to be ready to pounce.

It was quite the process that took up a majority of my time outside of work so I've had to put some things on the back burner, like ze blog. After our Feb. 1st move in, I plan on giving this much more love and attention. Seriously, I have no couch and hardly any furniture so I will be documenting that entire process and keeping you all filled in along the way. It's not every day you move into a new apartment!

My cute little one-bedroom apartment is right on the water in Brooklyn Heights. If you've seen any of my past posts, you know how much I love the piers... Now I am two minutes from them -- is this real life, how did this happen, what?! The neighborhood is straight out of a movie; filled with charm, old cars, and colorful pre-war buildings. Scroll down and see for yourself!

Also, stay tuned for lots of interior pics and decor posts! And wish me luck on carrying furniture up six flights of stairs (no elevator)...
